Chapter 1 Part 1.
Chapter 1
Lately my dreams are back to normal but if it was a few months ago that was a different story. I don't see dark figures, hands trying to get me, fear, pain, suffering and the sadness I felt that night. These days it's been nice, quiet and peaceful.
Before I go to sleep, I like to think about what I want to do tomorrow. And sometime the answers are easy while other time there's just too much to do. Then I tell myself that's this is it for today and I clear my mind.
Some days are harder than others but still bearable. I know that I have been a little off since those dreams but I'm healing. The dreams are trying to tell me something. Yet, I don't quite understand them. In my dreams, I feel like I'm never still. I'm active. And my emotions are everywhere. I look calm but really I don't know what I should do next.
What should I do next? I know it's confusing when I am writing this down but hear me out. Well, listen as I tell you my story.
I am sure by now my dreams to you is not that clear but it was a normal day. I drove my older sister to work in the morning, picked her up at 3 pm, came home and clean. Later, I cooked and then stayed up very late into the morning. I didn't sleep until 5 am and my father was going to get up. So, I went to sleep. Well, I tried and had too much on my mind.
After I cleared my mind, I shut my eyes and went into the levels of sleep. There are three levels as one of my favorite teachers have told our class. The first level is light sleep, you have already told your brain it's bed time but you can still hear everything around you. The second level is when those sounds are fading and you're slowly going in deep. Finally, the third stage you are now deeply asleep and will most likely not be bothered by the sounds around you.
But that night everything I knew about sleep and dreams would not be the same.
Within the first few minutes that I was asleep, a terrible dream unveiled itself. I couldn't breathe, my heart was racing then I felt a heavy weight on me. My chest was hurting. It felt like someone stabbed me and tears started to fall. I'm screaming for help but my voice is not there. I suddenly see these dark figures with red eyes coming out of the darkness and circling me.
Some of the shadows passed by me while some of them were coming right at me. I tried to dodge them and ran straight ahead into the darkness. I told myself run and don't look back. Somewhere between running and not knowing where I was going, I lost my balance and fell onto the ground. I am trying to get up but I feel like something won't let me. I turn around and looked to see a hand grabbing onto my left leg.
Then another hand appears and now both hands are crawling up my left leg. I am kicking and kicking the hands to get off of me. More hands are coming and pulling me. The hands are trying to take me somewhere. But I will not let it take me. Not now. I am not going to lose. Out of no where, a warm light came over me and.....
I can finally scream and suddenly woke up.
My nightmare was over. It was 5:05 am and I was wrenched in sweat.
